my whirlpool fr/frezzer is about2/3 years old and in good condition , therefore i do not really want to get rid of it.
however, a fault has developed and have been told compressors gone and its not worthwhile paying someone to repair it.
so, would like to diy it.
can anyone tell me where its located and how i go about changing it.?
thanks!

It is not a DIY job, you have to be qualified to recover the refrigerant, you cannot just let the refrigerant go to air. (think, ozone)
You (hopefully) will not be sold refrigerant by the wholesaler to recharge the system. And you will need specialist tools and guages etc to do the task.3.78 kWp PV SolarEdge with iBoost South facing.

Get a quote from a local refrigeration specialist (Yellow pages), it may not be the compressor at all, as they usually last much longer than that. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If the compressor is running but not cooling then is is a faulty compressor. If it is not running then it could be thermostat or compressor.0
