Tried it this morning and couldnt get any signal in my car :(. Not given it much time tho as was in a rush but just no signal when its on the dash. :(

EDIT - Just found this on their site. Take note. Will have to buy extra aeria. Large list of cars:

Please note, some car manufacturers are using athermic heat reflecting windshields which also reflect the GPS signal, blocking it from entering the car. Here are a few examples, be aware that manufactures can change the windscreen type during the life of a vehicle. BMW 3 SERIES BMW 5 SERIES BMW 7 SERIES BMW X5 CITROEN PICASSO CITROEN C5 CITROEN XSARA CITROEN XANTIA FORD GALAXY FORD MONDEO FIAT MULTIPLA MERCEDES W220-S CLASS MERCEDES VANEO MERCEDES E-CLASS 2004 PEUGEOT 206 PEUGEOT 306 PEUGEOT 307 PEUGEOT 607 RENAULT TRAFFIC RENAULT LAGUNA RENAULT CLIO RENAULT MASTER RENAULT KANGOO RENAULT SCENIC RENAULT ESPACE RENAULT MEGANE RENAULT SAFRANE SAAB 9-5 2004 VAUXHALL/OPEL/HOLDEN ASTRA VAUXHALL/OPEL/HOLDEN ZAFIRA VAUXHALL/OPEL/HOLDEN VECTRA The solution to this problem is to use an external antenna if you have a connector for such an antenna on your GPS, or a re-radiating antenna which will re-transmit the GPS signal inside the car and which does not require an additional connector on the GPS.

  • Tom tom go 300 works in my Vauxhall Zafira when its stuck onto the windscreen without the external antenna. Its an 03.

I read that yes but our Focus doesn't have heated front screen so we're ok.Strange that you got no signal as i can even get one indoors.Still can't work out the POI's i've loaded to it though.I out my folks address in to save as they live about 90miles away and we're going down there in a couple of days.Saved it and tried to add the Gatso's which 50 came up and i know there isn't that many there is only 2 at most and some came up in Barnsley...lol

  • Hi I have a Tom Tom 300 and drive a megane convertible using the sucky thing on my side window and have perfect signal.
However the first time i tried using it the car was moving and it would not get a signal then when i stopped it took about 20 mins to get satalite signal.
it has worked fine since then unless i start it while driving but if i stop at a lights it kicks in pretty fast otherwise takes about 5 mins.
I just think prehaps it takes a while for the tom tom to catch up with itself when its first in use as it has to link with several satalite signals before it can calabrate where it is when you get a chance set it up in the car and put the charger on and leave it for a while it should then work id be lost without it now (litterally lol)
