Babbler i found this site that you can upload the speed cameras to the 510(i think)

    http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php

This is best site for all the safety camera downloads for all SATNAV formats. I've been using their downloads (a long with 1000's of others) for a couple years without any problems so don't go buying them off ebay! At the moment the downloads are free however, from later this month you'll have to pay £2 per month or £19 pa for access.

    Another good site is http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/

A Word of warning before you go downloading and adding things to your TomTom - make sure that you do a FULL backup.

have you enabled the cameras in the poi settings?

Yeah it's been fine though of course haven't tried a Tom Tom so can't say if that would have been better or worth the extra £70:)

I think everything i have uploaded to the unit is enabled they all have a tick next to them.

Hope this makes sense. The reason they are not showing up is because i haven't added the little icons to the datebase. What i have done is add all the code but when i try to add the icon is says something about it being an unknown file or words to that effect.

Well, I decided to open it this evening. Just had a quick play but not downloaded anything as yet.

Have you found out how to simulate a journy? Can it be done? There is something under settings about it but havent managed yet. Then again, now signal in my house!! lol.

  • Can anyone confirm if the 20% off offer on laptops is available at the Milton Keynes store that is the pilot store for stocking Apple desktops/laptops? And are they applying it to Apple stuff - would love a 14 inch iBook pretty much for the price of the 12 inch.

    Thanks

Saw it on the Tom Tom in store and was hoping. Lets you view the journy before you make it... not much use I suppose...
