  • All I can suggest is putting stuff you don't need or use on eBay. I'd also like to do some work from home but don't know how to go about it. But eBaying can bring in some good cash.

    Good luck with the trip!

Join a cash back site and get everyone you know to buy thier stuff through it.
Join one of the affliate programs and put a post on the referals board.
If you have time put a card in the shop window for things like gardening or anything else you can turn your hand too...Does your G/F have a skill (one we can know about :) ) that she can make money out of. Baby sitting round here is about £15 a night and you still get to spend the night together and you save on electric ;) Good luck and keep an eye on the Thomsons site for the £199 flights to Oz
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
  • Thanks for the ebay one... i used that to get the deposit on my house. I do wonder what people did for some extra cash before Ebay. I have a few items to go on soon but mostly old dvds nothing much.

I was thinking of palcing an add in the window but i couldn't think of anything. I am quiet good at excel but no idea how this could make me £££

all the ideas are welcome and will now go and put those EBay items on the now.

  • Have you got a Tesco club card? You can convert these to Airmiles, might help towards airticket or there are some travel companies in the Tesco deals brochure that will convert £10 in clubcard vouchers to £40 off their prices. Also there was a recent thread recently suggesting you look for discarded Tesco receipts which haven't had their points credited (apparently there is a way you can tell) take them to customer services and they will add them to your card. If you have any old mobiles Tesco will give you 300points for any working ones if you recycle them (ask for an recyling envelope at customer services or go on their site there is alink to get recycling envelopes sent to you) thats the equivalent of £12 in travel vouchers and you can recycle up to 5 phones per year, they will also credit you for some inkjet cartridge recycling.

Look for a credit card that will give you cash back, you should find something on this site.

Hope this helps. Have a good trip !

Don't dismiss Ebay you can sell virtually anything including discount attraction tickets e.g. Alton Towers, Sealife etc. Tourist offices sometimes have these. Look for clearances in shops and resell. Look at the bulk items on ebay buy some in split up and resell (avoid market trader type things). Someone sold a Brussel sprout for £1600 the other day!
  • hey

i try those tesco ideas and i am working on finding vouchers to sell on ebay. i heard a bucket of water was sold on Ebay for serval hundrend pounds. So i guess anytbing does go on Ebay.
