A fall from a garage roof

Today when I was doing some diy I fell and badly bruised my ribs and I think I may be off work for a couple of weeks. Do you think I could claim?
Just clutching at straws here but maybe I could.

I take it you fell off your own garage roof ! Could John claim if the insurance policy was not in his name? I'm unsure on that one.

Someone has suggested to me that if you have a morgage the house is technicaly the property of the morgage company ..... intersting theory.

I believe if you are self employeed some peopel have policys to protect there income ??? dont know if this would apply to yourself??

Thanks for the feed back, I asked that Q under the influence of pain killers and half a bottle of red, It seems a daft Q now in the light of day. Then again if you don't ask you will not get an answer. Ah well I must be more carefull in future.

Ah, but did you damage anything apart from yourself for which you could claim? Met someone recently who'd decided that what a tree surgeon was charging £500 for he and a friend with a chainsaw could do for free, apart from their time and the power needed for the chainsaw. One conservatory-destroyed-by-falling-tree later ...

Fortunately neither of them was injured!

Only the paving slab that my head hit was damaged, £2.99 from B+Q so won't bother claiming. :(:)
