The bottom line is that, if a shop doesn't want to honour a misprice, it won't. People here will talk about contracts being formed once payment is taken and bleating to Trading Standards and/or Watchdog but, in the case of a geuine mistake, a court would take the common sense approach, especially if it felt its time was being wasted by somebody insisting they had a right to a TV for 49p!
    Can I help?

The order was honoured and both sofas delivered, total cost £78.00 - should have been £780.00- so that was me moneysaving at my best!

Well done! It's always worth a try, because you never know :)

Bad News. The shaop rang me to today to say there were very sorry but they appear to have a gremlin in their computer and it had miscalculated the price, did i still want the items at the proper cost of £670. She said she was very very sorry and nothing had been taken form my credit card.

I told her, I just thought they wer clearing out old stock. So I just bowed out gracefully with out a fight.

Well worth a try, and at least some poor soul in the pricing dept has probably kept thier job.
