PS Child labour is sadly lacking in my house at the moment by the way.

Evil supervisor has returned donning a panama hat (I do not jest).

Technician has suggested it's very Hannibil Lector ish

Have hidden the fava beans and slugged the nice Chianti (just in case).

Waves to Olive - very very true - child labour whilst useful while they are skinny for chimney sweeping, is sadly not very cheap.

They tend to consume far too much food and require far too much plastic.

And I do normally employ a grown human to sweep the chimney with a brush rather than use children.

  • Just had my first insightful words with the evil one.........'In light of current emails I guess we need a meeting' - Evil Supervisor - staring at the wall/floor/door as he spoke to me.

Translated in my flowery head to:

'Hi Fay how are you, (pause for eye contact). I hope you had a good holiday, mine was fine thanks. So sorry for the C**P we put you through before the summer. I think it would be good if we met up and had a meeting to see a positive way forward.'

My response - 'Thanks, Good morning how are you? Good holiday? I think it would be more beneficial if we met with our department head at the same time, please, if you don't mind.'

Am so glad that someone had an attack of sanity, and worked out that they were in the wrong
your supervisors greeting just sums up all that is wrong with the silly person (being polite)

BOB loved that you thought of wallace and gromit, they are favourites of mine!

I may not be posting as much the next 6 weeks cos that is how long I have got to do some major decluttering before my sis and bro in law come out for a holiday. We are past shabby chique here lol!

So give em hell, do your best as you have been. And don't get tempted by Mr T!

Hope that Darwin is fixed too aswell, and that you don't miss the children too much whilst they are away. On the other hand maybe you should text them to ask their dad for some really expensive presents whilst they are away - like a cello maybe :D:D:D

hugs fay glad it looks like it is going your way. Just don't let your guard down...

ps i did a happy dance on this side of the world too!
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hi, and welcome back. my car's MOT was good, was a special price and thankfully nothing needed doing.
Hope you manage to sneak a few things out whilst the kids are on their hols, i do like the idea of them 'needing expensive cello type gifts' from their father.

    Hello chaps

Well phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww after a hearty confrontational meeting. I am at least not brow beaten and have managed to fight my own corner a peedie bit.

Anyway - enough of this willow madness. For now the status quo remains, I am to proceed as normal and tick along nicely thank you very much doing field work and just collecting data about my lovely willows whilst I await an assessment from Aberdeen and a brain transplant or at least update myself with some dyslexia friendly software - bit like a babelfish I suppose ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Races_and_species_in_The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy#Babel_fish ).

I will of course need much updating :)

Moneysaving you say - um not done too much of that :( this past month.

Holidays - um OK after the Zoo nonsense (no we didn't steal a monkey) we headed down to our favourite mountain biking place (Glentress, Peebles) and did a trail after camping and having a slap up italian for OH birthday.

The red route at glentress is mainly uphill (why they call it mountain biking is for people like me who have to carry thier bike up the hill - it feels like lugging a bike up a mountain). I do not do well with any stenuous exercise as you see I am actually allergic to exercise, most folks come out in rashes with an allergy I just get incredibly P*****d off and VERY vocal about it.

Peedie pup did well and almost managed the whole route - I fell off quite spectacularily (sp?) during the only flat bit - and managed to show the following 4 chaps (all clad in lycra) my very stripey socks...........................................

DD managed to discover her brakes - about half a mile from the bottom of the track - (having not used them so far) she then plummeted to a forestry and sore wristed end which thankfully afteer a bit of water, a bandage, lots of medicine (chocolate) and a mr bump plaster on her knee was OK.

I will write about my holidays more as it will cheer me up.

I fought pig boy today (Evil supervisor new name) accompanied with a piggie noise by me (snort snort) and won for the moment - well at least stood my corner.

    One small stripey step.
