IVA question
Hi
Not sure if anyone can help but my mum has an IVA which she has been paying just over a year, she didn't declare all her debt as wanted to try to pay some off but is now struggling! it is only about another £1000/1500, she is making minimum payments on catalogues but obviously the interest is keeping it going, can she add to the original IVA?? or an advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks
Zoeteen

Zoeteen said she is in an IVA this can present all kinds of problems now as she was supposed to declare ALL her debts I think she could be in all kinds of problems but should come clean with her supervisor and get his advice on it.she should be able to better off ring up the debt managment plan, if not they should be able to do a seperate debt managemnet plan for this debt. good luck
let this sadly be a salutory lesson to anyone considering and IVA declare any kind of debt and get it included in the IVA.
My wife still used a catalogue even in the IVA but you have got to keep the debt under I think £200 or the supervisor will bounce you around.
Tell your mum that if she cannot make the payments then she must contact her supervisor for his advice or she could end up being declared bankrupt if she does not keep up her payments on the IVA.
again if she does not have a mortgage or a protectable job like banking or legal profession that I would seriously declare consider declaring myself bankrupt.0 -
