Barclaycard and crdeit report

Watch out for this:
I've had Barclaycard for years and years and always pay in full on-line on the date due.
A few months ago I paid in the evening and ended up with a late payment charge because "f you pay after 6pm it is classed as the next day" NEW RULE apparently
NEVER ever ever had this problem before.
When I was refused a New Look card I sent for my credit report and there was the late payment made to Barclaycard even though it wasn't really late and actually the charge was only £5 which they refunded when I complained.
I never use Barclaycard now and you dont get any incentive to anyway since you dont get anything back from them anymore.
