    Well, I won't feel guilty next time I use it on the (public) footpath running past our house then! Although, my efforts last weekend made absolutely no difference so I'm not sure I'll bother........

    you can always try shovelling the snow.. beats me why the councils don't do that. I saw our local council gritting the town centre yesterday when it had all but melted anyway - it would have taken them just as little effort to shovel up the tiny amount left.we now have no snow at all and tons of wasted grit everywhere
