Advice on changing electricity supplier
Hi I am currently considering changing my electricity supplier and need some advice
I am presently on a pre-payment meter (already in place when i moved in as i am a tenant) with Eon and am fining that the £25 a month I used to put on the key has now turned into £20+ a week (i know prices have increased and compared to some others it looks like im fairly lucky)
I have contacted Eon and they have said that their pre-payment tariffs are now the same as their billed tariffs but they could not recommend a billed tariff as I would not be any better off (which I found hard to believe)
I have checked a couple of the switching sites and even staying on pre-payment with another supplier EDF/Scottish Power I would save £200+ a year
But surely there has to be some better deals on monthly direct debit
Can anyone advise and also do I approach the new company first or contact Eon first to terminate.
My last years usage was £625 per anum
Day Kwh 2622 Economy 7 1367
I have no gas
Thanks
