Can I Get Out Of This Purchase Please ?

I purchased some mailing bags from a seller as his feedback was 99.6% on over 7000. However after not receiving any replies to a few questions about when the item was or might be sent I looked at the feedback a little closer. Since the turn of the year the negs have been flying in with some mentioning disputes etc. I would appreciate views as I need the mailing bags quite soon and it does not look too good. Finally how long do I leave it until Iopen a dispute myself if that is required? Thank you

You can open a dispute as early as 7 days after payment, due to the negs I would certainly take that route. I would also make sure you go for the full chargeback on the basis of item not received rather than stay with a basic dispute.
It could be that he is dropshipping and has problems, but at least if you get your dispute in and get a refund you are then free to buy elsewhere.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I assume you have already purchased and paid - by PayPal?
If there is no further communication and no item arrives, you can open an 'item not received' dispute in PayPal, once 7 days have passed. This will either spur the seller into action, and you will get your goods, or you can escalate the dispute to a claim in which case PayPal will refund you.
Don't forget to leave appropriate feedback once the claim has been settled.0 -
You can open a dispute with PayPal after 7 days, I believe.
