Argos Furniture WWYD?

Options
Hi all.
We ordered a sofa from Argos a year ago. After sending 2 incorrect suites they finally got the order right and all seemed well and good. Let me just add at this point we are not moaners here. Rarely complain about anything and for most of the time just 'put up' with things that go wrong.
A year has just passed. This is another reason I am looking for advice before I contact them. The suite is really not holding up well. After a few months the main cushions started to need plumping more and more regularly and the support underneath had sagged . One of the arms inner structures had given somewhat and we could feel the wood structure through the material. I just put it down to things getting themselves bedded in over time and carried on. Unfortunately the sofa (L-shape corner jobbie) has continued to degrade in status. After just 1 year (by two days) the cushions now need to be unzipped and plumped twice daily. The arm has sunk beyond the wooden internal supports and the zippers have gone on three of the cushions. The whole thing has sagged beyond what we would have said was reasonable use. There are no lunatic kids running around jumping up and down. We have not had hours of steamy sex on it. All we do is sit on the damn thing. Previously we bought at DFS and had years of use from our suites/sofas.
Now...We want to complain. Is there any point though? Given Argos' reputation for complaints? Is it too late? It was £700 and to be honest it is not worth £100. Is it just one of those things and a waste of time to pursue? We are clueless this end hence the post.
We have spent a lot of money with Argos over the years, as I am sure many of you have. But this is not really sitting well (pardon the pun) with my wife or myself.
Any ideas or guidance would be appreciated

Eh?? Argos usually does very well.

Have you been in contact with Argos Direct? If so what did they say?

  • First thing to be would ring them and see what they say.

Furniture should last more than a year and at least your dressing it everyday so its clearly being looked after.

Does it have fibre seats ? If so probably been underfilled from the word go hence the shabby appearance.
