Well we cant pay if it we havnt got any money or no where to live can we? They will have to wait til he is back at work.
Thanks anyway.0 -
He worked for a company but was self employed and they paid his tax but he never paid national insurance.
If you register with HMRC as self-employed they automatically send you out a notice when your NI is due... You get these notices on a quarterly basis so the only way you'd get away with not paying NI is if you had never registered with HMRC...
If you work for a company but on a self-employed basis, they would not be deducting tax at source, and neither would they be deducting just tax and not NI.
If he hasn't paid tax or NI for the past 15 years, I sincerely hope he can't claim anything from the State now!If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 -
err he has paid tax because he gets his vouchers from his employer that we give to his accountant to do his tax return.
And i should hope it is impossible for anyone to get away with not paying their taxes for 15 months neither mind 15 bloody years.
And we have a ax bill for £274 because he undepaid.0 -

You were being aggressive. I hate people like you that come in here abusing regular posters, making snidely comments.
I felt quite sorry for you until you had a dig. Now I sincerely hope your partner gets a huge fine and you all get stuck in temporary accomodation for years.
There, we can all be nasty. Unpleasant isn't it?0 -

Your husband did not pay NI he will have to face the consequences, no point laying the blame at the accountant, the DWP will view your husband to be personally responsible for ensuring the correct NI cont was made.
p.s please don't be aggressive towards regular posters who volunteer their help, if you don't like the answers don't post the question!0
