What a shame, always loved it there when my kids were younger. Dont suppose it can compete with the likes of Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers.

Yes I was really sad to see this too. This was a favourite place with my 2 sons as the loved the Knights show.0

its been on the cards since it changed hands a couple of years ago, i don't think it helped last year or the year before the big ride going and a lot of bad press around it, as in people thought it would close then.

It has been going downhill for a couple of years. They showed it on the local news and it looked very shabby indeed!
As mumontherun says, the knights jousting show was always good fun

Oh this is so sad. My little girl loves camelot. She was just three last summer and managed to go on many of the rides. The petting farm was wonderful too. I really hope that it gets brought out and/or still opens this summer.0

Looks like Camelot is reopening on the 23rd May ... i have also found a 2 for 1 voucher here http://www.offers.co.uk/listing/more_detail/camelot-theme-park-2-for-1-entry-4362The futures bright the future is Ginger0

Yea, the news is it has been bought out by a new owner, which sounds positive0

I can't wait to take my little girl this year. I'm so happy it is opening this year. It's a shame it doesn't look good for next year though. The company that purchased it, have put planning permission in to build a housing development.0

the housing developmet has been on the cards for years. originally i think they said it would close in 2012.
we live locally and compared to the deals offered by merlin group of themeparks for annual passes Camelot just doesnt compete.Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0
