Depends on his age and if he has a connection with Barclays eg an account with them. If he hadn't notified them not to call him when signing up for an account they will try and sell their other products. However if no connection and under the age of consent then no way should they be calling.0

watch out for some of these calls, been a few where its not actually barclays calling and they are asking for account details etc to confirm it is the person, had a few people been done like that in last couple of months. if you dont like calls contact your local branch and put contact exclusions on, which would prevent anyone calling you. If their is an important reason your bank needs to call you though (fraud) etc they would not be able to if you do this however.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure.0 -
i left my last bank becuase of cold calling and went to barclays
i explained to the customer service dude that they was not to phone me with any offers or nonsense , they made a note on my account and i havent got a call ever0 -
its probably not cold calling so its not illegal. your son would have given his details to "barclays" and agreed to have his data shared.
why would he have done it if you werent there! how old is he!!cant he do things for himself!
even if he did, you have distance selling regs to cover you for this.0
