Hi All
Well I was delighted (at first) to receive an offer today for missold PPI . They have admitted that I was not provided with sufficient info regarding the PPI insurance. Ive just had an offer for just over £2600.
However that is where the fun stops (for now)
As I still owe money to A&L for the loan itself they are wanting to credit the loan account to lower the amount I owe them.
I have received a termination notice from them and the debt is now being dealt with by a DCA, Bryan Carter & Co. The debt has been with various DCAs since at least November 2007.
Are A&L allowed to do this and not pay out to me directly???
Please can anyone help, the money would come in really useful at this moment in time
Many Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben
It may also be worth you posting this by copying and pasting this issue over to the PPI reclaiming - discussion thread 4, you will find this by clicking on loans first, then you will see that mentioned thread on top of the page.
There you will receive help and info from others that have been in the same situation.
In my opinion, this should be paid directly back to you, afterall its not your fault they didn't supply you with enough information when you had taken out this loan, where they have admitted this.
However I hear they can do this, but then also heard people argue the case as the issue has already been in another method such as DCA etc.
If you can also post on that thread I suggested and you will possibly receive some good advice on this matter, good luck and well done anyway.:T
