Credit report card discrepencies

1. - I've got an FCS flag appearing next to one of my accounts on my Experian report. Cant fnd out from the site what it means, so does anyone know? It says the FCS flag is live.

2. I dont use my Llloyds TSB credit card and cancelled it in early January after paying off the whole thing. However, now on my credit report it says its showing up with an account balance of £5. Lloyds havent sent me anymore statements and wouldnt have closed my account had I owed them money. In fact I think they owed ME money. It wasnt used for a while before I closed it, nor has it been used since. I no longer have my card or any statements, so any ideas other than querying it with Experian?

It usually annoys me the number of people that post on here when there are so many things they could have done first (usually out of lazyness).

So I am annoyed at myself.

Just need to find out about the FCS flag now as Lloyds TSB are sorting me out.

I did a little searching and I understand it that if you're in credit on a credit card for longer than 30-days then an FCS flag can be attatched or something.

Probably the best idea is to ask Experian. You can email questions from this page http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/index.html . Click on the Ask Jill tab at the top to do so.

FCS stands for Federation of Communication Services and this flag shows whether the mobile phone account is live, barred etc. I will make sure we put something on the Experian website soon. By the way, I didn't know either and had to ask a colleague!

Clariman - to get a question answered about an Experian credit report people should ask a question via the 'Any questions?' tab on the website. Ask Jill is our online 'agony aunt' advice column and only a few of the questions sent in to this are answered each month.
