I don't think that has been posted yet,you can apply for tickets to go to the queens birthday party for children. only a 1000 available/details on web site...

Postman Pat, Paddington Bear, Bob the Builder, Peter Rabbit, Noddy and many other wonderful children's characters, will be amongst the invited guests to a party at Buckingham Palace, along with 2,000 children.

The Queen will be holding a special children's party for her Majesty's 80th Birthday to celebrate children's literature - new and old - and the magic of books.

After a picnic tea, a show starring many of your favourite characters, will be broadcast live from the Buckingham Palace Garden.

You can apply for an invitation any time between now and 28th February 2006. Children aged between 4 and 14 can apply for an invitation and you only need to apply once per child.

What about Disabled Children who are over 14 (say 15) but functions at a lower age?

Thanks for this - DD isn't 4 yet, but will be at the end of May, so have applied on the basis that she will meet the minimum age requirement on the date of the party if we are lucky enough to get an invite

Sorry i can't answer someof the questions,but it does tell you all the details on the web site. :beer:

some guidelines...


1. There will be 1,000 invitations. If you are successful you will be able to nominate two further guests - see 8 below.

2. You must be between the ages of 4-14 to apply and obtain your parent or guardian's permission first. Another person, for example, a parent, grandparent, guardian or older sibling may apply on your behalf, but they must enter your name.

3. You can apply if you live in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man.

4. You can apply via the website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, starting at 1000 on Wednesday, 1 February and ending at midnight on Tuesday, 28 February 2006.

5. Invitations will not be allocated until after the closing date. There is as much chance of being selected if you apply on 1 February as on 28 February.

6. Invitations will be allocated according to the broad spread of population. Therefore, if your county/region has 2% of the total population, 2% of the invitations will be allocated to that area.

7. If you are successful, you will be contacted by Buckingham Palace, in writing, early to mid-April. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

8. You will be asked who you want to take with you in the age-range 4-14 - perhaps a brother or sister, or friend. You must be accompanied by either a parent, grandparent, guardian, or a person over the age of 18 - maybe an older sibling.

9. Invitations are non-transferable.

10. The official invitation, along with further detailed information on the Party, will be sent from Buckingham Palace, no later than the end of May.
