how much did you spend today 4/02/06

been into town for a shopping trip with my DS1 &2 and DD. DS3 is at his foster carers today. he only goes once a month so i like to do something with the other 3 kids i can do when he is not around, this morning they requested shopping (they wanted to spend their vouchers), a macdonalds, and a cake from the bakers!

so spent 2.12 in the bakers, 12.30 in macdonalds, 4.75 in the post office posting parcels for ebay. an expensive day for me but....my kids rarely get to do anything because of their brother so extremely worthwhile and they are worth it!

    Well Ive just been into town to pick up some goodies for my SIL who is expecting a baby this spring. I had loads vouchers to use in boots so I spent £9.23 in money and got £47 worth of goodies for her and 258 points on my card.

    It was £1.20 to park and now Im home for the rest of the weekend so I doubt I will spend any more :)

    Have a great weekend everyone :beer:

  • Hi JamieDodger,

    Good to hear you've had a nice day - you're much more organised than me - I'm still sitting in my dressing gown trying to get up the energy to go and make some (cheap) soup!

    It sounds like you've had a fun time - I've not spent anything today but need to go and buy some leeks so off now to get organised!

    Edited to say:- Went to Tescos for the weekly food shop and spent £30.56. Was meant to be a top up shop so not very pleased with myself. Also spent £3.03 in the farm shop and £10 exactly on petrol.

    Oh well, at least its all accounted for somewhere....
    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83

    I daren't think about what I'll be spending today, It's one of my daughters' 18th birthday and we are off out for a family meal. Me, my OH, 3 daughters, 2 sons and 2 of the daughters OH's!!!! I feel very sick and keep checking my bank balance every hour and it doesn't seem to get any better. I think I'd better go and bake a cake for her so as not to spend even more. I think it may be a CC payment and pay it off in full next month.....gulp!

    Have spent £0 and so has OH, yippee! Won't be spending today at all. Partly because I am shattered, I worked an extra shift at work last night, and I am working 2 more nightshifts over the next few days. I have got the week off work so I thought I'd try and earn some extra money. I'll get nearly £400 for these but I'll certainly earn it! This debt business is Hard Work!

  • Spent £18.18 in Somerfield on some food and will be going to McDonalds in a min so will spend more (have my discount voucher booklet to use).

    Just got back from McD's - forgot to take the voucher book! :doh: :wall:

  • Not a bad one today - 94p posting Amazon goodies, and £7.34 in the costcutter. They've got those branston beans pack of four for 99p, so since we've got a birthday party today my two are having beans on toast for tea, and OH and I are having our "date night". Sounds really sad, but essentially we get the kids to bed, have a really nice meal and a bottle of wine and talk. Candles, maybe music, and chat without worrying about the mess. We even eat off the posh wedding crockery and cutlery. Well, since we can't afford to eat out and pay a babysitter, the meals must come to us! Just trying to work out if I've got anything in the cupboard which would make a nice pud ...

  • Hi All,

    Will be spending later as it's DD's 2nd birthday today (what a lot there seem to be this weekend!) Luckily for us only me OH & DD, although she can eat more than me if she feels like it!! On the plus side she has been given £30 in Argos vouchers £5 cash and she is having a party tomorrow and should get some more so we can go get her a play house for the garden instead of having loads of little things that she will never play with. I wish I was 2 again, she has more money in her bank account than i do!

    Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
