worcester 28 junior 30si - which one to choose

I'm about to have a new worcester codenser boiler installed. The first plummer who gave me a quote said he would be doing me a disservice recommending anything lower than a 30si model. His quote was astronomical so i got another one which i thought was much more reasonable. He said I'd be fine with a 28i junior (i have three bedrooms, bath, shower, 7 radiators in all) but the advice of the initial plummer is still echoing in the back of my mind.
Also the debate about aluminium or stainless steele internal loop.
Should I go for 28i, 30si which both have the same dimensions, or a different brand altogether?
Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated.

Update: The 30si quote was £1880 and the junior 28i quote was £1360
I've since had other quotes that fall between these two amounts and the advice about which boiler to opt for has been vague.

The 28i would suffice however you have no thermostat for your hot water to turn the hot water up or down. My OH recommend the 30cdi as you have control over the heating and the temperature and you have a built in filling loop come with it as standard. He says the 28i is the bottom of the range and you would have better hot water flow rate with 30 than 28

    Hope this helps

We have a 28i in our rented house, it does the job fine,It does a fine shower. But I dont like not being able to cotrol the hot water temp. If you have mixer taps on alls sink then I don't think it would be a problem but we don't, the water is too hot just to wash your hands under the hot tap, you have to run a sink full or mix hot into cold allready in your hands.

You also can't turn up the temp if you want some super hot water for something.

Have you asked any plumbers to quote for both boilers?

Check out http://www.vhsdirect.co.uk/ and see if the total quotations differ by more than their prices of the two models.

hel1811's advice sounds about right; the power rating is primarily to give a faster flow rate for hot water.
