I don't know if it makes any difference, you could always change your answer to find out, and then let us all know!

It is probably the same as Insurers tend to give discounts to married males or males with common law partners but I would not be surprised if the odd insurer charges different rates for divorced rather than single etc.

As stated before try a quote on both ways
  • personally i would try both options, then chooswe the one that gives the cheapest price!:money:

it's not as if you'd be telling any poky pies:beer:

remember reading somewhere cant remember where, that insurers class divorced to be a higher risk than married / single due stress of getting divorce and stuff. Whereas class married as lowest due to being more careful driver cause worried what will happen if something happen to me to my other half / children. To the OP probably best to say divorce but also try the quotes and see if does make a difference. But I think you would have to say you are divorce now until you re-married. Like you have to show divorce paper when you get re-married etc..

the use of the word "would" should give you a clue that i was putting myself in the OPs situation.

To clarify, I am single, never been married, and would enter myself as "single" in a quotation process:rolleyes:
