There no direct flights UK-Honolulu, do you want to stopover both ways in San Fran or somewhere else, Chicago perhaps? or do you want to go straight through?
Which airports in the UK can you travel from?

LA is the main gateway to Hawaii, most major US airlines have direct flight from LA to Maui and Oahu. San Fran has a few direct flights, but not many. I believe AA fly direct from Chicago too.
We booked direct via the AA website and got a decent deal, I believe about $400 per person return LA-Maui.0
