Repairing ceiling

Hi

I had a new ceiling fitted a few years ago and now some of the plaster has fallen out where the nails(?) are leaving holes in the ceiling.

I am about to go and fill these but do I need to do anything special over and above just filling the hole - I am rubbish at DIY so I dont want to fill the hole only for it to fall out again!!

Thanks

K

Good advice there from A6 :T thats what I do when I come across poppers.

But here is another little tip, do what A6 says, but after you have filled the screw holes, and you have sanded it dowun, get a little diluted PVA and brush it on the filler, leave it to dry, and do it again.

This will give the filler a hard shell feel, so you have PVAed the holes, and also you have PVAed the dried filler, so now you can paint as normal, and they wont pop out again.:D
