Shelter are the experts.
If the S21 is invalid you have two options:
1. wait for 1 March, then tell the letting people that the notice was invalid as it has the wrong date. Hope the letting people agree and then issue you with a correct version. By which time they will have missed 26 Feb so have to issue one requiring you to leave by 2 months from 26 March ie 26 May. If the letting people don't agree then they will go back to court and ask for judgement; at which point you defend the eviction and state that the dates were wrong.
2. You tell the letting agent/ landlord now that the dates re wrong and they re-issue a correct notice by 26 Feb requiring possession by 26 April.
Either way, the writing is on the wall and you need alternative accommodation. You could try contacting your councillor for help.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. listen to Shelter's advice - not folks on this board - they are the experts - have you taken your tenancy agreement to show them ?0

If you are homeless and the council have a duty to house you, then you need to accept that you could end up in a hostel temporarily until suitable housing becomes available. If they had spare property you would have been housed by now.
You know today that you are going to be needing somewhere to live in a very short time. Start looking now for a rental that suits your needs and is affordable.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
