What is this bit of my radiator? It is leaking?? help!

Hello,

Does anyone know what this is called and what it does please? It is on the bottom of my radiator and it is leaking! Can I fix it or swap it myself? Warer appears ot be dripping out of the spouty bit!:eek:

    It is called a "drain off valve", and is there to drain the system, try tightening,(clockwise), the square head on the end , you may have to "hold against" on the body of the valve to stop it twisting.
