Bathroom Mould/Toilet cistern

Hello....
Just wondered if anyone has any advise, My bathroom is small/average in size, the walls are 75% ceramic tiles and the floor is also tiled. The bath is used at least 3 times a day so the room does get well used, but I leave the window open all day.
I have lived here for nearly 3 years and didn't notice any mould when i moved in, But my toilet cistern (plastic case) keeps getting really damp and dripping with water causing mould n the underneath and up the side... there isn't any mould anywhere else in the bathoom!... But I had the cistern casing (not sure of the correct name!), replaced a year ago because of the same problem!!...Even when I try to clean it it leaves yellow stains on the white cistern!!
Any advise please ???......

Condensation. Your cistern is full of cold water. Your bathroom ( even with window open) is full of warm WET air . Result water condenses on nearest/ coldest area.
The only answer, remove warm air ( and freeze in the bathroom !!!)
Better advice , after bath/shower open all windows wide, but close door to keep warm air in the rest of house. Extractor fans and dehumidifiers all work, but a wide open window is the best ( cheapest ) answer.but I leave the window open all day
But is it only the smallest window ???0 -
Yes it's condensation. hot steamy air from baths/showers condenses on the colder cistern. It's worse if the water supply to the cistern is mains supply which is inherently colder than stored water from a tank (i've shown this to be true in our own bathroom where during it's renovation i've switched the old toilet to water from the storage tank).
The solutions and ways to minimise it have been discussed many times before if you do a forum search.

Thank you both for your help, i'll have a search!!
The window is about a metre by a metre, but I can't open it wide because the blind is in the way!
thanks again0 -

The only thing you can do is wipe it down every day. It won't be so bad soon when the weather picks up.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
