Amsterdam Hotel Recommendations?

Hello

My boyfriend and I have planned a trip to Amsterdam from the 17th - 19th February.

We already have our flights booked so I'm wondering if anybody could recommend any good accommodation?

This is our first visit to Amsterdam so we are not familiar with any areas. I have read that 'Leidesplein' and 'Rembrandtplein' are the best areas for bars, restaurants and entertainment etc so we would preferably like to be located around there to avoid walking back at night in unfamiliar territory.

The hotel will be required for the 17th and 18th and we we are looking to spend no more than £100 per night.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Many Thanks

went to amsterdam in december we stayed at the golden tulip, very central is a 4* hotel and would recommend. It cost £90 a night but did book it last july so may be more now. Booked through expedia think via quidco or one of the cash back sites.
    Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁

I would recommend either the Crowne Plaza or the Hilton - both ae excellent luxury hotels and you can get some great deals usually.

The Crowne Plaza is very central and The Hilton is out of the town centre a bit but near some of the art galleries etc.

I have found a lot of the nicer hotels to be fully booked if left too late. The Bulldog is a hostel but i've heard that the double rooms are really nice (thats from mother in law). Also, there is transport throughout the night e.g. trams, buses and trains, so if you want to save money then the airport hotels e.g. IBIS are a good bet. We've always stayed in the IBIS and never had any problems. As I don't have a credit card I have booked through Superbreak and got cashback from Greasypalm
