BT Line rental increase

I have just recieved a letter from BT saying that my line rental is to go up on 1st April.
They say i can save this if i go to paper free billing which i dont want.
As i am in a 12 month contract with them do i have the right to go to another supplier to provide the line(SKY) without any charge as when i signed up to BT i agreed line rental of £11.50 pm not the £12.75 they want to increase it to?

I doubt it to be honest, I expect in the small print of the terms & conditions you agreed to when you signed up there will be some clause allowing increases below a certain percentage

Unfortunatly, if you have a contract then your stuck with it, unless you don't mind the cancellation charge.

Theres no contract with BT where you can have the line rental at a particular price, so the price can be changed for the rental.

Theres no win win situation here, because if BT had cut the line rental price but didn't reduce the price for anyone who had a contract then everybody would be on here complaining about that.

The paperfree saving has been around for a while and the price of rental for paperfree customers is going up as well.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.
