Plumbing question - Hot and cold on Washing Machine

Hi All,

Got a problem with my current washing machine. Needs a lot doing to it and not economical to fix. Neighbour has a washing machine to give me but it's older with a dual hot and cold feed unlike my current cold feed only. The question I have is that I have a combi boiler and I'd heard that you couldn't connect a dual feed washing machine with a combi boiler. Is this right or am I just stupid?

Thanks for your advice,

Jay

  • Yes you’re just stupid....LOL :rotfl::rotfl:

    Seriously, Yes you can connect a Hot & Cold fill washing machine to Combi Boiler water system with no problem.
    Obviously as the washing machine fills on washes that take in Hot water the combi will fire up.

    If you would rather just have the washing machine filling from the Cold you can get an adaptor that turns a Hot & Cold fill machine into a Cold only fill.
