Jeepers! Exploding Lightbulbs!

Fantastic, its 6:38am and yet again this morning we have exploding lightbulbs, again. We have these lights around the home, clear Halogen lamps actually they look a bit like the below.

Now I'm not sure if its a dodgy set of bulbs or wiring or what, but I'm swaying towards dodgy bulbs, although supposedly their eveready bulbs which should be fine. They are 240v, G9 size and 40w.
About 3 weeks ago one blew in the morning, and sort of lit up very bright for a moment, exploding both the light bulb and shade into bits, this was at 6am! It also blew the fuse in the fusebox. A week later another one goes, this time it doesn't explode but just pops, now another week later another has exploded however we've since replaced the shades and thankfully they held together and the fuse didn't blow. Its always at 6am, never in the evening which I'm not really sure if its a coincidence or not. Both times the bulbs have exploded they've lit up like their red hot, yet we've only just turned them on.
I'm confused, and my brain hurts and I don't want to turn the lights on! I can only think its the bulbs as we've not had any problems for a few years yet in the last month or so its one after another.
Any comments/feedback is welcome as apart from changing the bulbs I'm running out of ideas!

Were these bulbs all fitted at the same time, they may be a bad batch.
Replace them all with different ones and see if happens again? If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

I've just checked and it looks like they were. We have 2 sets of lights, one up one down. The up set haven't had any bulbs changed recently and are fine, no problems. The down set are all using a new set of bulbs purchased about a year ago, they've been going pretty quickly but have only recently started exploding, however the others last a long time and haven't gone in ages. Hmmm time for some new bulbs.0 -
hmmm could possibly be surges of electric then that are causing the problems. They are only small so wont be able to cope with it.
if they still blow after u change them all call electrician in.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
Just ordered some philips ones that should be decent. The last lot were pretty cheap about £5 for 10 but as previously mentioned they were eveready branded, which is made by energizer so I don't know why they'd be problematic.
You have no idea how stressful bulbs exploding at 6am is, craps me right up for the rest of the day.0
