Morgan Stanley / PayPal / Cash Advances?

Hi,
I'm thinking of registering my Morgan Stanley card with PayPal.
Will PayPal payments made from the Morgan Stanley card show up as "Cash Advances" and will I incur fees as such? I have read that this differs between card issuers but haven't seen anything about MSDW.
If PayPal payments just show up as purchases, they should count towards my cashback bonus, are there any other advantages of using my credit card over my debit card?
Also same question about buying Premium Bonds, do these count as cash advances or purchases? I may buy bonds with any excess cash I have at the end of each month.
Thanks

Not got a Morgan Stan card but my paypal spending on my Sainsburys card/old Mint card and old Cap one shows up as a transaction and def not a cash advance. I'd presume it was like this for all cards0

I have a Morgan Stanley card registered with paypal and I can confirm that paypal transactions show up as purchases.0

Doesn't PayPal charge for withdrawals back to your debit card though - Would this not negate any benefit from getting cashback from the MS card?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

Hmm, so can you make payments from credit cards into paypal, and then paypal into a bank account?0

I buy much more stuff on ebay than I sell, so the funds will be going from the card into my paypal account to buy these items. There are no charges for buyers using Paypal.
Sellers do get stung but the convenience seems to balance out the charges. People tend to pay more for items offering Paypal as a method of payment because they can get the item quicker, the seller also avoids having to go and cash cheques etc.0 -

Paypal will charge you for accepting a payment INTO your Paypal account. This would be pointless and totally wipe out any cashback bonus etc.
I am only suggesting that I send payments OUT of my Paypal account funded by the MSDW card.
From the first few replies, this sounds like a winner. I just have to avoid buying too much stuff that I don't really need!0 -
