  • If I find something I like, is comfy, and is good value (not necessarily cheap, there is a BIG difference) then I buy several at once. Simple common sense.

I definitely buy extra pairs of shoes if they are comfy and at a good price.

I take 8.5/9, so it can be hard to find shoes at the best of times - but right now I have a lovely pair of Next boots on their second winter, with another identical pair in the cupboard ready for when they wear out, courtesy of the sale at the time, and a very comfy but still good-looking pair of Scholl sandals, which have now completed their 4th summer, about to be replaced for a matching pair, again got for a much-reduced price in the sales.

I have to haul myself in sometimes when it comes to Crocs - they are so comfy for the school run, so I have three pairs right now, 2 bought for less than half price in a sale, but I can be a bit of a colour magpie if I'm not careful, so I'm staying away from that thread for a while, lol.

    I love shoes too!
Just a thought though - if you got your flyflots from shoe-shop.com (I can recommend them), then remember to go through Quidco - they pay 7% I think and pay really quickly.

  • I agree cost per wear is the best way to judge if they are are a MSE appropriate purchase. (This is what I tell my husband when I buy another pair of Birkenstocks!)

There's nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes that rub and give you blisters. If you're sure you'll get the wear then buy them.
