There seems to be some kind of carnival in Dunkirk, in February sometime. Anyone know what it is, or if it's worth a day trip. May just be a local affair, but I've read somewhere that it's well known around northern France.
We always enjoy our day trips anyway, and I know that Dunkirk seems an unlikely venue, but if there is some sort of carneval, it would liven up the day, perhaps.
