Night Storage Heaters removed???? E7 prices?
Hi hope someone can help us with this one.
We used to have Economy 7 night storage heaters in our flat but removed them last Autumn. We have just electric heaters now (no gas in building) and have just realised, since we have it on a lot through the day, that we are paying a massive dayrate due to originally having this night-storage stuff.
Now, can anyone tell me if we can get off this rate having removed the heaters? We're very worried about how much we may have spent up until now over Winter and feel very stupid about not realising this before now. Can we switch to a standard tarrif?

I'll have some cheese please, bob.

Yes you can switch to a normal tariff.
Some companies simply add the 2 meter readings together and it is treated as one total. e.g. night meter reading 200kWh, day meter 1,000kWh is treated as 1,200kWh. I have this system with BG.
Other companies insist on a change of meter. Some try to get you to pay for the new meter, with others it is free.
If they try to get you to pay, threaten to leave - and carry out the threat.0
