Dreadfull customer service

I called B.Gas today to check my account and get them to reduce my DD by 10% seeing as they are bragging about a 10% price reduction. After 5 minutes in an automated service a human told me that they couldn't help me until next Sunday! When a B.Gas rep would call to discuss my request! When I said that I'll look for another supplier, suddenly my telephone appt changed to tomorrow morning (Wednesday)! Seeing as it feels like I'm personally financing some B.Gas's top exec's holiday to the Carribean this year I think that's crap customer service. Just had to have a groan!

    Why does someone need to call you back, can they not deal with your request over the phone?

    This may have been due to the weather - some offices were severely undrestaffed and this would save customers waiting ina queue.
    From what I've seen (no quotes please) the plan is to reduce DDs by 10%.
    Get a reading and stick it in the website/to the agent to make sure you only pay for what you are using.
  • I wanted to speak to them as at my last review of the DD they increased, as expected, due to the price hikes....but it was a very large increase, even though I was in credit with them to the tune of £80! So I got them to reduce DD cost hike by a bit. I don't mind owing them a bit of money, but I'll be damned if they're gonna owe me! So I wanted to generally check the who owes who situation! It's 11.23 and I haven't had a call back yet, they've got until midday!

    Yeah there will be a blanket reduction in DD's by 10% but there will be factors that could mean you won't get a reduction. i.e. If your in debt to quite a tune etc.

  • They've got a lot more of it than I have, so I feel that I'm a much worthier cause.
