Well, it decided my model of motorbike doesn't exist!! Wouldn't let me input the info manually and wouldn't let me proceed without it. Well they won't get any commission off my new insurance policy.

Would not recommend their 'user friendly' interface!!

I've had the same problem with my car. Put in the registration number and it doesn't recognise it.

My variant of the particular model is not listed either.

When you agree to their terms, you agree to them passing on your info and get bombarded with telephone calls offering you extortionate quotes,it's for this reason I got one of those additional free 0844 telephone numbers that i give out when applying for insurance online etc-when they ring you (and they will) i get the choice to answer or reject the call.

holly, i don't pick up my phone if I don't recognise the number or it's unknown so they can call all they want!

Am also surprised as I have a Yamaha YBR125, one of the most popular bikes in its class!!

They didn't read down the page... don't stress yourself!

I ride motorbikes too and all I'm going to say is DON'T go with Bennetts... they're terrible!

I went with Lexham in my 1st year as it was free with the bike and Devitt in my 2nd as I had a discount through work, but discount isn't as big this year so am looking elsewhere.

  • I can go along with the Bennetts thing. Dont get me wrong, they were just following their terms and conditions but the company I was with wouldnt insure me for my change of bike so I had to cancel the policy (they required 2 years NCB for a Hayabusa and I only had my licence for 18 months).
It ended up costing me more for 6 months insurance than it would have cost me for the year if I hadn't cancelled.
