dorothy perkins/parcelnet!

 this is more of a rant than anything , have emailed similar to dorothy perkins- am still seething! got an auto reply to say will get a reply within 24 hrs- i wait with bated breath!

Quite frankly im disgusted how my order has been handled. My order was placed on the morning of 23rd Jan, and i recieved my dispatch email on the 28th Jan. I have been tracking my package on parcelnet tracking service and it states on there that its out for deliverly on 30th Jan, a week aften i made the order, which is quite a long time. Not recieving my order on 30th Jan, or 31st ( parcelnet state they do Sat deliveries), or on 1st Feb and still no update from yourselves or parcelnet, i begin to get a little disappointed that my order still hasnt been recieved. Last night, i track my order again, to see status has been updated by parcelnet to incorrect sort to driver- how that gives me any information i have no idea. I spent 20 mins trying to get through to dorothy perkins last night, after having great diffculty getting their contact number, only to get a dead line. I mananged to track down a number for parcelnet- another nightmare- to query what this latest update meant, and i quote" oh that simply means we have given your parcel to an incorrect driver- we will get it back to the depot and process and it should be with you in a few days". I have serveral problems with this-

1. The limited information availble to me, meaning i have spent money and time trying to get through to dorothy perkins and parcelnet- to chase up the courier company mistake
2. Security issues- my purchase is floating about somewhere and i dont know where or when i wlll recieve it,
3. failure to contact me to advise of any problems with my package- i asked parcelnet about why they hadnt contacted me and they advise that they will contact the supplier
4. The fact that i have spent ten minutes trying to get through to you last night- and a further 10 mins this morning and 10 mins this evening, to no avail- ( on the plus side, i now know you were closed last night due to weather conditions- great, why wasnt this info on your IVR last night?)

So , almost two weeks after i ordered and paid for goods, i still havent recieved them and do not know when i will recieve them.

aaaggghhh!!

Okay - answers but none that you will particularly like.

Parcelent are a cost effective solution, but if you want an all singing all dancing delivery solution, it will mean the delivery cost will be substantially higher.

Parcelnet missorted the item to the wrong depot, as occasionally happens. You'll get it sooner or later - not your fault, and you're being penalised for their mistake. Deal direct with DP - you'll get more joy - speak to their CS dept.

There are limited security issues, and the way DP operate is on a - tell us you haven't received it basis, as do most retailers - they rely on their customers to advise.

If you're not happy - tried emailing them?

How long did they say delivery might take originally?
