I have just ordered the swan slow cooker after reading toozie's post ( really good bargain) but have never used one before, I always use a pressure cooker. I want to give this one to my daughter as she is about to move into a flat with her bf. They both have really busy jobs so hope it will be ideal and well used. BUT can anyone recomend some recipes or a recipe book for slow cookers I could get her to go with it Thanks

I just made a gorgeous rice pudding. It was all gone in 10mins!
2 pints milk, 4tablespoons pudding rice and 3 spoons sugar. plus a small pinch of nutmeg. Just right in 3 hours on high setting. I might use a little les sugar next time.0 -
Hiya
The thing you are looking for is the The Complete Slow Cooker Collection which has all sorts of recipes, plus hints and tips, that you'll find useful.
You can find it listed in the Cooking section of the MEGA Index sticky at the top of Old Style or you can reach it through our Indexed Collections.
You can find these via my signature any time you see it or...
..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
