I have just got a neutral feedback complaining that the process was very inconvenient because I do not use paypal. Well the item went for £1.04 and she was complaining about having to write and post a cheque, when I went through all the hassle of weighing, packing and posting an item for a piddling amount of money (I only added 50p for packing to the postage costs). Bit p****d off really. Shouldn't have purchased the item if writing a cheque was too much trouble. >:(
Feel like retorting but it could get silly. What do you think?
i think you should leave feedback , even if it is neutral.... I dont think you have a reason for leaving a negative.
You can always comment back on their neutral comment.
personally I leave feedback all the time regardless of what i get.... I have 99.5% (due to some time wasters when i first started)smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

As I just said in another thread - eBay's feedback sux.
If you leave bad feedback and the other person retaliates then you can contact eBay and have it removed but judging by eBay's usual speed of responce I'd never risk it personally. I claimed a FVF refund on a buyer who didn't contact me and they left me negative feedback. I contacted eBay to have the feedback removed and made the mistake of responding to the feedback saying 'Left by non-paying bidder who didn't contact me - feedback will be removed soon'
Well that was last May - enough said!! >:(0 -
Ebay will not remove feedback left by a non paying bidder. There are other criteria which will allow feedback to be removed, usually because of feedback violation such as bad language or racist remarks.

Soo
That says it all really, people can stick 2 fingers up at the auction system by bidding and not paying THEN go on to mess up an honest sellers hard earned feedback reputation at no risk to themselves.
As Steve Wright would say " what level of muppetry is that ?"0 -
I have mentioned on another thread trouble I am having with a buyer who wants item sent before christmas as obviously it is wanted as a present HOWEVER his cheque has not arrived and MONDAY is the last possible date for me to send as im away on holiday from that day until after xmas ...
I have also just this second read his feedback which 2 of last 3 are NEGATIVES with the sellers claiming he is asking for items to be sent before payment have cleared and when they deny him this he got nasty with one and ignored the other both cases no payment was sent .... secondly he is NO LONGER a registered user ...
I am going to take Soolins & VHs sound advice and be very careful with this transaction but my question is ... Can people who are no longer registered leave NEG - FEEDBACK for me if I refuse to sell0 -

Hi, me again from the other thread!

Are you saying that your buyer is no longer registered? If so then they can't leave feedback as this means their account is suspended. Also I would have thought that you probably don't have to deal with them anymore.secondly he is NO LONGER a registered user ...
You should be able to file an unpaid item dispute and reclaim your fees immediately and relist the item.0 -
Yes VH ... By the side of his feedback it states in RED this member is no longer a registered user .... So if payment does turn up I am unsure of what to do !
Has anyone else come across this situation and if yes how did you deal with it !
Is there any point in contacting ebay maybe ! ..... Thanks !0 -
In that case then the buyer can't leave feedback and you should be able to relist your item with minumum fuss.
File a non-paying bidder report. Normally it takes 7 days for you to get your fees back, but if a user has been suspended then you should get your fees back immediately.
If the cheque does arrive I would post it straight back with a note saying you have relisted your item. But I think you already know that that cheque won't turn up!
Either way, problem solved, as the user can't use EBay any more you don't have to deal with them.0 -

I had one a couple of weeks back, exactly the same. Buyer completed check out and told me she was sending a cheque and wanted the item for a Christmas present. I emailed back and said that I would need a cheque by xx date to post the item out ready for Christmas.
After 8 days I hadn't heard anything so I logged in to send a reminder only to see that the buyer was NARU. I immediately filed for my FVF and as she was NARU it was instant, I didn't have to wait another 7 days for the fees to be credited.
I then relisted the item. If she sends a cheque now, which I very much doubt then I will just e mail her and ask her to either send a SAE for me to return her cheque or allow me to destroy it for her.
In your case as you are going away I would suggest emailing the buyer now (you should have the details on the EOA e mail) and inform her that the item will be relisted and is therefore no longer available for her. Tell her that if a cheque has already been sent then she needs to either send a SAE for its return or you will just destroy it after a month.
As she is NARU you no longer have to deal with her and feedback cannot be left either way.
