OP said it was in gear though. Either very strange thawing effect or maybe someone could have given it a help?
mine was in gear as well
Very very slow slippage, but scary stuff.
A few years ago it snowed really heavily we were crawling up our hill of a street, when a car parked on a fairly steep drive suddenly slid out of the drive and across the road in front of us. It came to rest by a wall. Never seen anything like it before, very strange to just see it come out of the drive like that.0 -
My handbrake on my pug 307 has been frozen on while at work for the past few days and on a pug forum apparently its very common. time to just leave the handbrake off and in gear.scheming_gypsy wrote: »tis true.. i bust my handbrake last february, got up to take the car for the MOT, handbrake had frozen and i heard a loud doink and cloink as i took it off and, yep, failed on the handbrake.EX POSTIE.0 -

OP also said he parked it with the front touching the garage door, as the brakes cooled the car may have moved forward until the gears take up the slack, when he returns he finds the car is now pressing hard against the garage door.0 -
