Morning everyone. Just wondering if you have called the Solicitors and asked for reasons for the discrepancies. It would only take a few minutes.0

What things did she find in the paperwork??
I can't remember exactly what was in the paperwork as it was about a couple of years ago now but the one thing that did stick in my mind was the TT fee the banks charge to transfer monies we charge £25 plus VAT whereas in the small print they were quoting I think £125
Also this was in the days before HIPS and so I'm not sure what she was quoted for searches.
We are currently in the process of remortgaging and our financial advisor suggested using the mortgages solicitors just in case they got funny about us using the place where I work (and it was free so didn't really mind) and so far I think I have spoken to about 3 different people and had e-mails from 2 different people.Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j
Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 20100 -
If the estate agency gave the first recommendation, then don't forget they'll get a huge kickback - which will have been built into the price.
It's likely to be greater than the commission they would pay the online middleman.
I bet that accounts for the difference0 -
Hi
I had a re-mortgage fall through March last year for my property, basically I pulled the plug before the re-mortgage completed as I was told there were no redemption penalties then I found out there were loads. Today I received a court summons (posted through the door) from the solicitors for £339.01 for their costs in this failed remortgage! I never instructed anything they were instructed by the mortgage company and the thing never completed. Does anyone know if I am liable????
thanks0 -

Were you not sent any terms and conditions from the solicitors about what would happen if the re-mortgage didn't proceed? I'm sure we received a letter from the solicitors which was about 4 pages long that went into detail about the transaction.Did owe £9,951.96
