What’s this about?
This Friday the Samaritans is running a Stress Down day; encouraging people to switch off emails and wear slippers to work. As well as raising awareness of the dangers of stress, it also aims to raise cash for the Samaritans, which needs more than £10m a year to handle all the calls for help it receives.
I've agreed to be one of the supporters of the campaign; though my own stress levels could do with some serious managing! I'm more of a 'before' in this case than a role model.
Please take part/donate for Stress Down Day
Stress Down Day is Friday 6 February, and the Samaritans are encouraging people to take part in stress busting activities to raise cash.

With more people struggling, the Samaritans’ 24-hour emotional support service is more vital than ever.
50 free pairs of Green monster slippers
To help promote the day the Samaritans has given us 50 pairs of green monster slippers to give away and MSE will cover the p&p.
If you'd like a pair (see mine in the pic at the bottom) just reply to this message with the sentence 'I feel less stressed already' before Friday 6th and we'll pick the 50 people who'll get them at random (though be warned its likely you'll be one of 1,000s asking for them).
Plus, just a heads up that we're in the middle of putting together a major guide to ‘Mental Health and Debt to help individuals, families and carers. When it’s published, we’ll let you know in the weekly email.
Well done to all these MoneySavers who blagged slippers!
