  • Woke up this morning to lots of mail! A letter from the OR saying they have not received certain forms, I know I posted them with the other stuff they received... guess they lost them within the mountains of others!

Also received a letter from my Trustee, letting me know he had been appointed giving me more copies of things I cant do during BR

Letting me know a Creditors meeting is arranged for during March I do not need to attend but can If I want (prior arrangement only)

A form for me to sign and send back to him, when I did the SOA at no point did I put down and amount for postage, do you think its viable to claim say £5 a month for postage... hehe

Also requesting I phone him to arrange a meeting with Him. Im not sure what the meeting will be about... I was so hoping to get out of a face to face. Anyone else have experience with Trustees?

  • thanks for that dalip :)

I have just read the letter again, one paragraph drew my attention:

1)Any assets, which currently remain in your possession, should be handed over o me as soon as possible. However, there are certain assets which are excluded from your estate such as tools of trade, clothing and household effects and furniture of a reasonable value, i.e not antiques or other items of excessive value.

Now I am sure I have seen that somewhere before, on other paperwork although in the other one I saw it mentioned vehicles. Does anyone else recognise the above? has this IP left of vehicles on purpose? I am still hoping to keep my car, needed for work and valued at 1900
the trustee is Hamiltons insolvency practitioners based at sheffield. Anyone had any dealings with them?

I don't this it's been left off on purpose, the items in that paragraphs are things that are exempt, full stop, no discussion, whereas vehicles are subject to circumstances so don't fall under the same category.

Does that mean you'll have to go through it all again with the trustee

Always post things recorded. My OR hasn't received 2 things I posted him and I don't think he would have believed I posted them had I not had a receipt!

I really don't want to get in the shed and sort out years of accounts if poss

The last two years worth are at the accountants.
