Free school trips (home ed too) at Pizza Express, pizza workshops, take home a pizza

Learning certainly tastes better with PizzaExpress Schools Programme and there's plenty on offer.

Young visitors can hone their geography, literacy, or design technology skills, or just soak up the fine art of pizza-making.

Each school visit is free, tailored to the needs of the group, and balances a bit of teaching with plenty of tasting.

PizzaExpress get to give something back to the local community, and Principal Spendlove's class can really get their teeth into something.

Contact us for more information about the Schools' Programme and on how to book.

(The manager of our local pizza express is a waste of time thought. I think he has never done them before and promises to call me back but never does, grrr!)

My nieces school did this and it was brilliant - they got pictures of them making dough in the local paper. Good publicity for them I suppose and the kids had a great time and experience.

I have actually emailed them today detailing the poor communication received from the local branch. Hopefully this will shake them up a little bit.

Got it sorted. Spoke to a relief manager today (manager is on hols this week!). Have booked it for Tues 24th March 9.30-11.30. Already had replies from my email launch to the local home edders. Hope other home ed groups groups give it a go.

My son did this a few years ago and it was great fun (I went along as a "helper"). The children get given paper hats and aprons on arrival to wear.

The staff explain all the healthy eating issues, and the children get a taster of all the toppings with an explanation of what they are etc.

They then make their pizzas which was great fun, and get to see them go in the ovens. They then get to take their pizza home.

I have to say the staff at our local Pizza Express were fantastic with the children, and made it a very enjoyable trip.
