Hi all ive just brought an new property and the ecelctric and gas is with southern elcectric the prblem is both gas and elcectric are on card meters does any one know if io can get these put back on to normal consumer units

Hi,
I'd ask your supplier what the criteria is to remove the pre-payment meters, they may charge you and request you to set up Direct Debit.
If the meters are removed, I'd then look at online tariffs as these are normally the most competitive.“Official Company Representative

Yes but the current suppliers will most likely credit check and charge for installing credit meters.
However if youre refurbing the property one idea is to ask the current supplier to remove the meters, refurb the property, look around for the best deal and negotiate credit meters to be installed with the supplier you choose."Self trained industry expert who has worked in Electricty Distribution, Electricity & Gas Supply and currently works as an independent consultant in industry processes to particapants in the industry" :eek:0
