Hello No1!
Other job opportunities - if you want to say "Yes" to your boss all the time and don't mind him over ruling you and doing your job for you... there's a vacancy for you somewhere in Edinburgh - could kill 4 birds with one stone - extra money, takes up your Saturday afternoons, free trips to Europe in the Autumn - but gets you a good view of the game for nowt!
Seriously - good stuff with getting to grips with things!
NOt too sure on the hElathcare - is it only Dental cover you get? Do you need more than this? NOt too sure.. try this link

Don't try to work too many hours & run yourself into the ground - and it impacting on your new job.
as for the upgrade - I'm always cautious of things which appear free - generally there's always a catch that stings you! So.. to be on the safe side (and not understanding the small print) stay away from the upgrade! Stick with your phone - see if T-mobile offer a better deal if you don't take up their phone! & presume you have looked at these articles recently

Ok... the car insurance thing... mmm.... you've got to weigh up if it is providing you with a benefit... or is it not... I think you should make the call on that one... I know what I would say (No thank you - do not want) - but it's your choice!
Oh - put the spare change to one side for some drinks on the 2nd Saturday in May!
Good luck!0 -
Back again for another wee update. Oh how I love holiday pay. 17 days pay at once, mmmm, Overdraft was reduced from £750 to £100 today. It'll be reduced to £0 next Friday.
Started a part time bar job, paid monthly, looking for about £500 which Will go on the credit card. I'll leave about £50 on it and set up a standing order for £2 a week, which means reguar payments which willhopefully repair my credit score.
21st is next Thursday so hopefully get a few £ from that aswell. So all in all it's certainly looking much better than it was. Hopefully I will be debt free by the end of July. Not taking the loan into consideration here.
Question about the loan. It's for £2k, taken out in December, paid 4 payments of £150 a month. Can I pay say £500 every month into it ?
Just like £500 lump sums into the loan account of will I no be able to ?Feb 06 *****Highest Debt*****

Hi pressley, you need to check with loan provider to see if they allow this.0

Hello Pressley,
As McBirnie says, check with the loan company.
However, consider paying the Credit Card off in full, rather than just paying £2 a week. I imagine that the credit card has a higher interest rate than the loan, better to clear the debt and psycologically good to see another debt go!
Good stuff! Well done.0 -
yeah but i need to make regular payments to try and repair my credit rating. So £2 a week would do that.Feb 06 *****Highest Debt*****

Agree with your sentiments and desires - Disagree with the approach.
IF you still have your credit card (and it is not cut up), then pay if off and clear the balance to 0 and restore the "no interest to pay" situation.
Then discipline yourself to make a small purchase with it every month - say something less than £10. Setup the standing order for £2.50 per week and then you will be clearing the balance & making regular repayments all the time - no interest to pay. This is the best way I think!0 -
helllo ha...
It's been a long time since I was last on. Well I have been on, but not posted here. So another update for you.
Loan now stands at £1200, which will be paid off by next july or sooner.
Credit card is fixed at £100 limit, which gets paid every month.
My credit score it turns out wasn't too bad after all. 920 out of 1000 which put my mind at rest.
I have an agreement in princaple for a mortgage, so all is good right now !Feb 06 *****Highest Debt*****
