Kwiksave / Asda

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I was told something this weekend by my Mother that I didn't know.
I think we all have the Kwiksave special offers leaflets pushed through our doors & find they are out of stock by the time we get there. Well my Mother tells me that if you take the leaflet into Asda they will match the deal with a limited quantity of 3 off per leaflet. (the more leaflets you have the more you can purchase!!)

She has tried this a couple of weeks ago with the ferrero rocher (sp?) chocolates which were reduced from £3.99 to £1.99. She went into Asda with the leaflet & came out with 3 boxes.
Last week she went in again for some boxes of Roses chocolates (I think) & again came out with 3 boxes & Asda even gave her a multibuy discount because she had 3 boxes.

Not sure if other supermarkets do the same but do have a look & check it may save moving from store to store for the special offers.

I don't get these offers in the post as there is no kwick save near me.i have requested leaflets by post but received no answer from them

Yeah it's usually advertised on a board at my Asda, they will price match ANY published offer be it a leaflet or page from a newspaper provided it stocks the exact same item and it is a branded product and not a supermarkets own e.g. they will price match Kleenex Velvet but not Sainsbury's Soft Toilet Tissue. As I usually do my main shop at asda I regularly go in with Sommerfields/Kwiksave or Morrisons leaflets or pages from the national papers and save a fortune that way.

The Asda I use has been doing this for a couple of years now and it's worth letting people know about. I've never had any hassle with this, you just show the leaflet and they honour the price.

Bear in mind it's not just groceries they will do it with, they will also honour competitior leaflet prices on drink, electrical items, DVD's and games.

Yep they do, i took an advert in for Argos, two PS2 games for £25 (orignally £19.97 at Asda) bargin £12.50 each. Thankyou MSE and posters I wouldn't have known otherwise. ;D

Kwick save will soon be no more.

They will all have disappeared by May 2005.

Where do you go with the leaflets to customer service desk? Do you have to pay for it then and there? Does this also include internet offers if you printed them out?

just present the advert at checkout - my wife works for asda

they have to pricematch the advert from the other supermarket/company

not sure about internet printouts ???

will ask the wife tomorrow and repost

the main people who pricematch at asda are asda staff ! ;D

They won't do Internet offers at least not at my Asda. And when price matching PS2 games or consoles they usually ask you to go to Customer Services with your leaflet and the game/console and they Price-Match there.
