Realistic cost for a new boiler

We desperately need to replace our old boiler, which I'm sure is going to blow up one of these days if we don't do anything about it.
I've had a quick search through similar threads, and they're all of a slightly different theme - so hope it's okay to start another!
We live in a 4 bed detatched, which is about 18 years old. It's currently got a combi boiler but with an open water tank above it. We want to move to a closed system. The other thing I should add is that the water inside the system is majorly sludged up, and keeps blasting out of the tank (totally ruining the inside of the cupboard.
My ideal would be to replace the current huge floor standing boiler with a wall mounted one in the cupboard, and to have shelves underneath for bedding, towels etc. The cupboard also would need majorly decorated.
I live in Scotland.
Any ideas of what this would cost to have done - I'm not at all handy, so someone would have to come in and do this for me?
Thanks for your thoughts

British Gas are not the cheapest or neccessarily the best, but they will give you a free estimate. Then if you want to, you can haggle with a local Corgi registered tradesman.
BG have a discount offer on new boiler, Check here > http://www.britishgas.co.uk/products-and-services/boilers/need-a-new-boiler/latest-offers.html"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
