Upvc front door fitting

Got myself a new door, it will sit in a porch which has been rendered up to the frame. This is due to come off and be re-rendered at a later date. When fitting the door should i fit this proud to allow the render to sit up against it so it will be completely straight across the front. Set it back to allow the render to go around the edges of the wall. Or sit at front of the brickwork and let render sit proud. Or any other suggestions.

Sounds easy but door that is there has architrave around it like an internal, so can't copy what is there.

Comments

  • normal practice is to sit the inside of the frame flush with the inside edge of the outside brick(edge closest the cavity and render up to frame allows a plaster bead to be used on the corner of brick so giving the corner some strength
